I also been getting a lot of spam lately and I just go through and hit delete. I am not sure how to stop it or how it got started in my e-mail. :wallbash:

Happy birthday, Michelle!
As for spam, Janelle - I can't stand that, but phishing attacks are even worse. I find that gmail does a great job of filtering spam and... :X I feel like if someone I know is going to send me something/some reputable company, if they can't handle sending something that won't get caught in a spam trap it's likely not something I want to see anyway. I create filters now, for certain spam - and especially phishing, so it auto deletes. Yes, I have my moments of doubt, but I'm happier with the filters.

Hi everybody...I should say good evening, but it is morning here, so Good Morning jungle buddies and :monkey :monkey :monkey :monkey!

Happy Birthday Michelle, I hope that you have a wonderful day...don't do too much, unless it is partying and/or relaxing with those you love...

Janelle, I know what you mean about Spam...I get them all the time, but I don't know any foolproof way to reduce them...my solution is to just delete them entirely, even if I do recognize the address....sometimes, they use "real" email addresses, and I have opened them to find that they were just Spam...I use the McAfee Virus Protection and it has been pretty good...yahoo has been great about filtering junk for me as well...whenever I get Spam mail, it goes to the Spam folder and then I just delete them...you are better than I am...I don't even open the folder to see if any legitimate mail is in there...I used to do that, but I stopped very quickly...At work, our techo department tries to do a better job about Spam, and it has been great too...I forget what the program is called, but it has been good at filtering my mail...the only drawback I see is that sometimes, it filters legitimate emails to the junk folder, even though they are on my list...those I go through because it is my work email...otherwise, I would just delete all of them...oh, I remember the name now...it is Postini...

You know the Spam that I really love getting? The ones that say I sent the email to myself...I laugh sometimes, especially when it uses the email address the spam was sent from as the sender...does that make sense...

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Monday...talk to you all later...

Peace and love,
Paula R.

:happybd: Michelle!

I have so much spam that I maxed out my folder, so yahoo can't stop them anymore. Sometimes my good emails go to the spam folder now.

I have two different email addresses and I get spam at both of them.
I am not sure there is any way to eliminate all spam.

My husband and I have a gmail account for family and bills- and a yahoo acct for newsletters (books) and the like. We connected the gmail to our outlook so we rarely get spam at that account. One thing my husband has always insisted on is that we do not open forwards, even from family. I will say that the yahoo account gets about 20-30 spam emails a day and only about half of those get sent to the junk mail folder. I have no idea how the others escape notice but I just delete. I just read that if you get emails asking for personal info you are supposed to send them to the Attorney General.
