Leslie’s Disney Madness Friday!
Leslie Icon

I’m in Florida right now and at some point during this next week, I’ve promised the girls that we’ll do a Disney day. (Probably MGM because it’s their favorite.)

Anyway, I thought I’d do a little gift-by-request. Just leave a comment with your name and the name of your favorite Disney character–hero, heroine, princess, prince, villain, whatever. I’ll do my VERY best to pick up a little something with that character on it, and send it off to you, along with a book of your choice from my backlist.

Sound good?

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Leslie

LeslieLeslie Kelly used to say she wanted to be a doctor when she grew up, but then she discovered Nancy Drew books. Being a flashlight-under-the-covers-nose-in-book reader throughout her childhood, she couldn’t think of anything else she’d rather do as an adult than continue to lose herself in fictional stories. Her real life marriage of 20 years to the man of her dreams is a constant reinforcement that happily-ever-afters really can happen…and that they’re worth writing about. Living in Maryland, Leslie spends her non-writing time laughing a lot with the above-mentioned romance hero and their three daughters. Though an author of more than thirty sexy, contemporary comedies, she has recently branched out to write dark romantic suspense under the pseudonym Leslie Parrish.

My favorite Disney character has got to be Ariel, especially since I’ve got a redheaded “mermaid” myself! Really, there’s just something so sweet about her and innocent, the way she sees life and the o around her. What’s not to love about her?

Karen B – MICKEY is KING, LOL No Mickey is the POPE. Not offending anyone with this story. I took my kids to Disney years ago. All I could think about was that commercial with that adorable little boy = “I want to meet the mouse.” over and over. And Mickey comes up to him in the Park. So imagine my surprise when I told someone in Disney, “I want to meet the mouse” and they said, “You have to go to the Judges house. Mickey is there.” OK. We hike across the park to the Judge’s house. Where the line in 100 degree weather is around and around and around and around. An hour and a half to meet the mouse. Who is HEAVILY GUARDED by people monitoring how many people can go into the room with Mickey at one time. I’m appalled. They were counting numbers of people and I’m like, no, you can’t split up my family I need a picture of EVERYONE WITH THE MOUSE. So they let the first group of strangers go, then us. Call me silly, but discovering that meeting Mickey is almost as hard as meeting The Pope really disappointed me. I thought he should be a walk around the park and mingle with the common people kind of mouse! :soapbox:

Being a girly girl I love all the princesses and their happy ever after stories. But I always come back to my first Disney movie I remember as a kid (ya know before there was VHS and DVD and you had to see them in the theater). Anyway… Tinkerbell rules for me! Spirited, sassy, a little vain, and loyal to end!

    Have a great weekend everyone

Oh and I can’t forget Chip and Dale, the mischievious chipmunks! We actually had two little chipmunks go down our dryer vent into our dryer one time! That was a project getting them out!

Well, you have a grand ol time! :cooldance:  :rotfl1: :cheer:

My favorite Disney character is Sleeping Beauty because as pretty as she is – she is technically almost always forgotten, along with the little mermaid, in the Disney princess world. Most often Cinderella is the one that is thought of 1st. :writeblock:  Have a blast for us, too.
