ooh what an awesome prize that would be.. why? well weve just had so many unexpected expenses that my book buying has been cut a bit short. Ive been doing so much reading that i had been having headaches, so went and had an eye exam and my prescription had changed, sooo that was a total of 360 dollars by the time i left with new glasses.. hubbys transmission dropped out of his truck… $2200 bucks..
ive been nursing my refrigerator along for a couple weeks now.. last week stuff was warm and the icecream melted.. and this week so cold even the milk was frozen… sooo yep ive been pricing refrigerators.. boy have they gotten expensive since i bought my last one 15 years ago…so much for our tax return… and like everyone else.. the high cost of fuel and heating LP is outrageous this year… :cold:

Hmmm, I have two reasons. First is I love to read. That’s a given, I think, for everyone that posts on this blog! Second is that I’ve always allowed myself a fairly extravagant book allowance. But, in a couple of weeks (hopefully!) I will be closing on my first house!!!!! :banana: I’ve thought of all the ways I can cut back, and unfortunately, my book allowance is at the top of the list. That’s ok, though, because I’m blessed that with some small sacrifices, I can finally have my own home. I’m so excited!! I can’t wait to plant flowers, mow my own (tiny) lawn, etc.

Reading has helped in passing the time during this long, long cold and snowy winter.
