I love Feb because it’s my birthday on the 17th. Which does not mean hubby gets to combine Valentine’s Day with MY day. No way.

It is so important for woman to know the signs of a heart attack because many times they aren’t they same signs that men experience. Take this month to visit your doctor if you haven’t done so in the past year and get a heart check up! Check with your local hospital or Amercian Heart Association office to see if there are free screenings in your area. Your :heart1: will thank you!!!

I have to admit, I’ve never liked Valentine’s day. It seems like such a waste of tree pulp and cotton fibre-fill. I didn’t like it when I was younger and not dating and I still don’t like it now that I am married. My husband treats V-day like any other gift-giving day: he goes overboard with presents. Don’t get me wrong, presents and chocolates are nice. I think of V-day the same way I think of new year’s resolutions: if you can’t do it the rest of the year, how is a calendar going to change that? (I have no idea if I am using the colons correctly, they just seemed like the thing to do on a rainy morning)

Happy Birthday to your daughter! I too have a February Birthday (9th). I love the stone too (I can’t spell it, LOL). I remember February’s as a child, as being the winter carnival and every year I looked so forward to it! They’d have a total carnival outside! Different sledding areas, and even places to go for the hot chocolate! I loved the outdoors and still do love that fresh feel of the cold and bright whiteness outside! One thing though, even though I loved to sled, I sure could not ice skate or ski, LOL. I have no sense of balance. So its the memories and still the beauty of winter that I love here.

I love red and pink, so seeing stores filled with them really doesa lot for my spirit. My birthday is this Monday and my brother’s birthday is a week later. I remember a birthday when I was 8 that was a tobogganning party. when we lived in PA. My dad borrowed this big toboggan from a friend and my friends and I crammed onto the front with my dad sitting behind us.We went really fast and it was so much fun!

I love February because it a symbol of love and romance. As Valentine’s Day approaches, being a hopeless romantic, I will be hoping that my husband of 36 years will finally be hit by Cupid’s arrow and will sweep me off my feet with flowers, a wonderfully romantic card, candy, a romantic dinner and a long, slow night of sensual and erotic lovemaking.
