Janelle’s Jungle Madness Giveaway!
Janelle Icon

With Valentine’s day right around the corner, I thought chocolate would be appropriate. But my version is fat-free, sugar-free, and a whole lotta fun to play! Today’s winner will receive the Chocolate Monopoly game, along with a autographed copy of one of my books (winners choice, depending on availability).

Chocolate-opoly…A decadently delicious property trading game for chocolate lovers! Dark, milk, bittersweet, semi-sweet, in a shake, filled with caramel, covered in nuts, or as a warm, frothy brew – there’s nothing the cocoa bean can’t do. In Chocolate-opoly players buy favorite chocolate properties, collect chunks of chocolate and trade them in for chocolate factories. Sounds easy enough but pay your conching fees, suppress your cravings or get sent to Chocoholics Anonymous and it becomes a little more difficult…and a lot more fun! So choose your token and roll the dice! Who knows? You may be chosen as a “Supertaster” or you may experience Death by Chocolate. Here’s a game for the true chocophile!

All you have to do to enter to today’s contest is post a comment below, then check back on Sunday to see if you’re this week’s winner!

And just for fun, a question for you all: What is your favorite board game? Mine is Balderdash.

Janelle

JanelleJanelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 25 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 45 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

I didn’t know about this version of monopoly. BUT, I do so love chocolate!!We do have the regular Monopoly, the football and the golf versions though. It’s nice to change up. As for other board games, we play Mystery Mansion and Clue. We used to play Mall Madness when my daughter still lived at home. We try to play a lot of Rummicub and card games… Sheephead and Bridge when the kids come home from college. Love Scatagories too!!

I so love chocolate, but as I’m getting older, it doesn’t love me back, as it goes to places that I wished it didn’t. As a child my brothers and I use to have Monopoly marathons where we would play for hours and hours. I haven’t played like that in awhile. I would have to say my favorite game now is Caranium. For those of you who have never played, it’s a multi facet game where there’s a little cherades, trivia, and drawing all wrapped up in one. My children get a kick out of me, because I can’t act or draw well. Great family bonding.

We’ve recently played Cranium Wow which is Cranium with new cards. What fun. Really does become interesting – drawing with your eyes closed – using clay to mold your answers, etc.

:present1: A great prize as always! Chocolate-opoly looks like it would be a lot of fun! I don’t play many games any more as I live alone! When I visit the younger grandchildren we usually play games. My favorite for most of my adult life is Scrabble. I also like Scribbage & Yahtzee. When I was with the grandchildren last year they had a game called Apple (I think) that was a lot of fun to play with them.

It is pouring rain here, again! This past week has been like living in Seattle!!!! It is suppose to continue this way all day today & again tomorrow. At this point I would love a day or two of sun! I’m seriously thinking about checking into plans for an Arc!!! Actually it is not that bad. This area tends to have a very moderate, mild climate & we are spoiled. Last year we did not get enough rain therefore all this wet is really a blessing & we need it to refill the resorvoirs & give the earth a good soak! I’m trying to stay positive here!!

    :hug2: Great prize!

My favorite board game is called Acquire. I bet no one has heard of it. I have had it for about 20 years!

I love Scrabble, Monopoly and Battleships.

I remember playing Battleships with my Dad on graph paper when I was a

young child. Did Monopoly use See’s chocolate to make this

    game? :rotfl1:

Ah, chocolate! Fortunately, this is a carb free chocolate that is Atkin’s diet friendly! Sounds like fun! A book to boot. That is one hell of a loot! Yeah, I know, it’s cheesy! Hope you all have a great weekend! I am celebrating my 27th birthday tomorrow! (Wish me luck!)

I love Clue and Trivial Pursuit (especially now that I can actually compete with my parents!). But one of my all-time favorite board games is called 221 Baker Street. You play Sherlock Holmes and run around London (via the board) gathering clues to solve the mystery. Very much like Clue, but more difficult.

We love to play any kind of board games and even get out the Trivial Pursuit cards just to ask the questions! Battleship and Risk are fun. My brothers and sister and I played Monopoly for hours with lots of fighting, yelling and laughing. We have a Floridopoly (Univ. of FL).

Happy Birthday, Leslie! Mine is in a week. :happybd:

:posting: I don’t get much opportunity to play board games, but when I did play, it was Monopoly, Clue or Connect 4.

I had never heard of the chocolate version… I guess you couldn’t play it in southern climates without good air conditioning… :scratch3:
