Trick or Treat
Carly Icon

2007 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!

**********************************
Hubby and I went to a Halloween party on Friday night dressed as Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth. For those of you who have never seen the show you are definitely missing out. I decided to swallow my pride and post photos of the party … but I’m also posting a pic of the real Dog and Beth.

SO HOW DO YOU THINK WE RATE?

We didn’t win best costume or even best couple costume :hissyfit:
Other great costumes:

DOUG HEFERNAN from King of Queens
and a box he is delivering (aka his wife!)

JERRY LEWIS as the NUTTY PROFESSOR
… he won most original costume. How awesome is this?

The Mob Guy and his Moll … oops! Not. That’s the Matador (see below). The Mob Guy’s wife looked gorgeous but I didn’t get her picture, LOL! THIS is the Matador and his Lady …

Now remember, I promised everyone I wouldn’t post names, but they might be here anonymously so be nice!

When was the last time YOU dressed up for Halloween? And what were you? OR alternatively are you dressing up this year? As what?

Carly

She couldn’t plot her way out of a paper bag, which is why she smartly found her plotmonkey pals early on in her writing career. Thanks to their support, Carly is now a NYT Bestselling author of 23 plus novels. Because writing doesn’t keep her busy enough, Carly is also a wife, a mother of one preteen and one teenage daughter, the primary care giver of her soft coated Wheaten terrier and an expert carpool mom.

I chaperoned the school Halloween party in my “tired Mom” costume, which looks pretty much like my everyday attire. Does that count?

My husband and I went to a Halloween party years ago before our daughter was born–I was a black cat and he went as “Jason” from one of those horror movies. Haven’t dressed up since. Although he would love it if when he came home in the evening I was dressed in an I Dream of Jeannie costume and addressed him as “Master.” :rotfl1:

No costume this year. Heading out today for a work retreat in Gatlinburg. We drive back on Halloween, so I guess I’ll be a tired driver this year for Halloween.

Carly you and you hubby should have won the costume contest.
That is the one reason I don’t like contest where it is totally based on the judges opinion. Like Dog shows coloring contest you get my drift. :dog1:
yes, I admit me and my hubby watch Dog and Beth. We usually catch the marathons that are run on the dish. :whipbanana:
I sorta think of it like a train wreck you can’t help but watch the show.

Maybe the reason your hubby didn’t win because of the lack of that industrial strength huge can of pepper spray that Dog straps to his thigh.
Plus you were wayyyy smaller than Beth which is a good thing.

The last time I wore a cool costume was 23 years ago the Halloween before i got married. I was a very sexy Witch. :hothot: :arrr:

Last time I dressed up for Halloween was a high school Halloween dance. I was a witch with a long black robe and pointed hat. I skipped the wart on the nose though.

I am going as a very happy Red Sox fan!! I am a tired one though, that game got over after midnight and then daughter was up at 330am yelling for me- right before she tossed her cookies. Then I had a 730 mammogram to go to. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. And today we finally had a freeze and I had to scrape my windshiled. arrrgggghhhhh…..

My fav costume for work is to put on flannel lounge pants, a ratty t-shirt, ratty bathrobe, grab a teddy bear and hubby’s bear claw slippers. I walk around the mall that way. I don’t know if I will this year as we have a bunch of boxes to unpack and shelve, but i may do all black and just put on my witches hat when I get home for the little kiddies.

Our doxie Isis is going as a :arrr:. If I can get something on the big guy, he can be her wench, but I doubt he will let me. LOL Maybe the cat?

All Through the Night comes out tomorrow!!! :cheer:

Here’s how stupid I am. I’m looking at the picture going, “OMG, her husband looks EXACTLY like Dog The Bounty Hunter!!” (It WAS Dog the Bounty Hunter). As my son would say, “De-de-de!”

My last costume was Spongebob Squarepants which went over great in our neighborhood of 400 kids. I even learned the laugh. Couldn’t get the kid or the hubby to be Patrick and Squidward for me. They’re really lame sometimes…..

Cool costumes! I honestly can’t remember the last time I dressed up for Halloween. I know, I’m a horrible party pooper. Emily is going as Cinderella. She is super excited.

    :cheer: Go Red Sox! :cheer:

Okay, I’m totally jealous you and your hubby dressed up as Dog and Beth (I’m a diehard fan of their show!). Thought both of you looked great (did Bruce call everyone “my brother”?)

    Hi Carly,

    Aren’t those Red Sox something.

I sure need a few good nights sleep after the late nights but

they were so worth it.

You and your hubby as Dog and Beth are a hoot!

Last costume I remember my 2 sons and I dressed as robots,

long long ago. :bootyshak: How about those Patriots too!

:winner: New Englanders. :cheer: and Boston college, wow!

Getting pics developed this week hope they come out good.

Hubby is not the world’s greatest photographer but he did indulge me

and my digger campaign. Hugs to all have a great week.

    Hey Leslie,

You and Bruce must be busy with your decorations.

Liza, Gatlingburg is looking absolutely beautiful this time of year, I was just there last week for a weeks worth of alone time from hubby and son.

As far as dressing up for the Halloween, the last time I did that was before I was married, 23 yrs. ago, and I dressed up as a football referee, yellow flag and all. Had to throw that flag a couple of times that night as my boyfriend, now my husband, was committing personal fouls, if you know what I mean. LOL Haven’t dressed up since that, but love to pass out candy to the kids every year.

Carly, you and your hubby were looking good, but I have to admit, I’ve never seen the Dog the Bounty Hunter show.

Have a good day all and take care!!!!!!

Since I have never even heard of Dog, the Bounty Hunter until now!!! Is my life to sheltered?? Your costumes look great.

The last time I was in costume was for a party at work. Since I worked on the front desk as a receptionist I went as a tourist, shorts, Hawaiian shirt, camera, with my bag with books, sun screen, etc. Not really much of a costume but I was comfortable & I could function to do my job! :pumpkin: :yikes:  :ghost:

I love seeing really good creative costumes I’m just not good at ideas!! :ghost:

Last year I was a black widow spider woman, complete with webs and spiders. I even had a spider web painted on my face with a small spider spinning down the side. It was great!!

I try to dress up every year so it was a toss up between Marilyn Monroe and the evil queen fro Snow White. Do to comfort issues, I think that the evil queen has won this years costume.

The last time I dressed up was in 1997…I remember because it was before I had my daughter. I was a gypsy. I still have all the stuff!

Since then, I rely on my Halloween T-shirts and stuff to celebrate the season. Oh, wait…I might have gone as a witch since then. Hard to say. I have all the stuff! Great outfit, too…long sleeves, sexy…you know. :pumpkin:

My favorite was going as a sexy devil when I was teaching in Catholic school. I have no idea why I wasn’t fired on the spot.

(In my defense, I did make sure my skirt wasn’t too short and I skipped the fishnet stockings…I think I wore solid red tights.)

I’m still not sure why I wasn’t fired!
