Friday’s Winner and a Sunday Funny!
Janelle Icon

For Friday’s contest :winner:

 :partyman: Paula R. (Comment #36) :partyman:

CONGRATULATIONS, Paula! Please contact me at janelledenison@sbcglobal.net with your mailing address. You need to let me know if you want your $25.00 gift certificate to Amazon.com or BN.com. You also get to choose one autographed book from each Plotmonkey’s backlist of books — 4 books in all! (Book chosen depends on availability. Sorry, but no just released September or October books can be chosen — BACKLIST only! ). You can check out each author’s website to see what books are in their backlist.

And now for the Sunday funny:

HOW TO CALL THE POLICE AND GET A QUICK RESPONSE.

George Phillips of Meridian, Mississippi was going up to bed when his wife told him that he’d left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window.

George opened the back door to go turn off the light but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things. He phoned the police who asked “Is someone in your house?” and he said “no”. Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door and an officer would be along when available.

George said, “Okay,” hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again. “Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people in my shed. Well, you don’t have to worry about them now ’cause I’ve just shot them all.” Then he hung up.

Within five minutes three police cars, an Armed Response unit, and an ambulance showed up at the Phillips residence and they caught the burglars red-handed.

One of the Policemen said to George: “I thought you said that you’d shot them!”

George said, “I thought you said there was nobody available!”

:razz3: **Apparently this is a true story!** :razz3:

Janelle

JanelleJanelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 20 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 40 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

:happy2: LOL…that was a good one. I wanna try that but I would never have the guts to talk back to an officer. But I suppose if nobody was going to show up then I might just have the guts to do that instead of standing around watching my stuff getting stolen.

    Congrats to the Friday Winner
