Lots of Wilde Stuff!
Janelle Icon

I can’t believe that BORN TO BE WILDE is less than three months away from hitting the bookstores! 8O It’s been a long two years between Wilde books, but I’m really excited that Joel Wilde is FINALLY getting his own story! I’ve been lucky enough to get a gorgeous, sexy cover (which has been posted here numerous times, of course!) and now I’m in the process of working on promotion for the book. Bookmarks, magnets, bookplates and excerpt flyers are being made, and will soon be available for you all to receive if you’re interested. But for now, I have a cool new video trailer to share with you all, and below, the chance to WIN A FREE ARC COPY (Advanced Reading Copy) of Joel Wilde’s story months before it’s available in stores!!!

But first, the promotional video, which is making it’s debut here, at Plotmonkeys! It hasn’t been posted anywhere else, and the only person who has seen it is Carly, so you all are getting a sneak peek before it goes “live” on my site and other places. Last week Carly showed you one of these videos of her soon-to-be released book, so most of you know the drill. You should only have to click on the button in the middle of the video for it to start playing. It’s only about 30 seconds long, but I think it’s hot and sexy and fun! Be sure to tell me what you all think!

Born To Be Wilde Video

Add to My Profile | More Videos

And now . . . here’s your chance to win an ARC copy of BORN TO BE WILDE! Remember, an Advanced Reading Copy is a plain covered, uncorrected proof of my manuscript, as shown in the picture!) Most of the time we make it easy on you to win free stuff here and it’s only a matter of posting anything on our daily blog, but since this is special giveaway of a book that won’t be available in stores for MONTHS, I’m going to make you work for Joel Wilde’s story! If you’d like to be entered for the chance to win an advanced reading copy of BORN TO BE WILDE, then you have to tell me (and convince me!) of why YOU should be the one to get this ARC of Joel’s story (and yes, bribes of Starbucks and Chocolate will be considered! LOL. Just kidding. Sort of. ). I’ll pick my favorite “reasons” of why you should be the lucky winner, and draw a random winner from those favorites. So, have fun with your posts — convince me that YOU’RE the one who absolutely has to have BORN TO BE WILDE before anyone else does!

Janelle

JanelleJanelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 25 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 45 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

I’m not going to enter because I recently won an ARC here, and I think other people should get a chance…not that I really, really, REALLY don’t want a copy because I really, really REALLY do. I love your Wilde books Janelle – they are some of the sexiest books I’ve ever read and I thank you for each and every one of them :love2:

I could say that I would like a copy for the “educational” aspects of seeing an ARC. However, while that would be a perfectly good reason, I REALLY just can’t wait to read Joel’s story! I know, not the most creative reason, but an honest one. :cheer:

    Happy Thursday everyone~

Hi. I think your movie clip is great. I ended up here from Carly Phillips website and I haven’t read any of your books before. I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to find a new author! It sounds like you’re a fabulous author. I would love to receive your book!! Thanks.

I know my answer is going to sound like a bunch of BS, but it’s true. I actually typed my answer and then went back to the top and added this little note. Of course, I guess if bribes would work then BS oughta work too, but I’m very sincere with this answer…..

Because you and Scott Wilde changed my life I have a special place in my heart for all the Wilde boys. Mia and Cam were great, but in a different way.

I’ve posted before about how I was wondering the book isles – I’d never before picked up a romance book at the bookstore – and the cover of The Wilde Side caught my eye. I picked it up, read it in about 48 hours and then started on a search for all the Wilde stories. Then I started collecting all of your past books, in the process stumbling across the other Plotmonkeys as well.

After that I was hooked on romance and started to wonder if I could write. At the beginning of Mia’s story you told how she evolved and how you and Cameron peeled back the layers. The whole process intrigued me and so I decided to give it a shot and now, here I am, years later….still wondering if I can write!! :happy2:

Scott hooked me on reading, Mia made me wonder if I could write, I can’t even begin to tell you what it would mean to have an ARC of Joel’s story. But whether I win it or not, thanks to you and all the Plotmonkeys for turning me into a romance junkie and aspiring writer.

Bribes of Starbucks huh? Hmmmm…how about a gift card to Starbucks and a package of our semi famous Nichol’s Candies?? Their chocolate is incredible. And if I could post a hunk on here I would so that would entice you even more. LOL!

How about begging?? Will that work?? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pick me.

Or how about the promise to read the ARC and then spread the word like wildfire so people are lining up at Barnes & Noble the night before the book is released. I have been known to be pretty persuasive (sp?) :fryingpan:

And last but not least, I need the escape. I have been AWOL for a while because I am Captain of a Relay For Life team. The American Cancer Society does an overnight walk and I have been busy raising money for the fight against all types of cancers not just one specific type. The walk is Friday the 15th into Saturday the 16th. So I could read the book while I am getting blisters on my feet, but atleast I would have a smile on my face.

    Good luck everyone!

I should get it because my TBR pile has NOT a single plotmonkey book in it! Yes, it’s true. Okay, the pile has only about 3 or 4 books in it, but that is besides the point. I love the WILDE books. I should also win it because I am from the West Coast, like you, Janelle, I am a LOYAL plotmonkey blogger, I would LOVE to send you TONS of Starbucks’ cards (I’d even give you the one I have in my purse!:coffee:), PLUS, I would throw in YOUR choice of See’s Candies OR because I am feeling REALLY generous, I would give you my LAST two Nordstrom Habits chocolates that I got for Mother’s Day (Yes, oddly, out of nine of them, a month later I have TWO left…I am pacing myself  ). They are so yummy and delish. MY FAVORITES!

Janelle, I should win the ARC because if I don’t, I’ll sick my dog on the winner :dog: . Just kidding. But seriously, I’ll beat the winner over the head with a frying pan if I don’t win. :fryingpan: OK, I won’t really do that either. But I will throw a huge temper tantrum if I don’t win :hissyfit: :cursing: But if I do win, I’ll be so very, very happy & even do a little cheer for you :cheer: and then once the ARC arrives in the mail I’ll throw a happy little party  Pick me, pick me, pick me. OK, I’ve had way too much coffe this morning :coffee:

Okay, I was going to beg and plead to be your pick for the Arc copy of Born to Be Wilde, but I think that Debbie should win, what a creative way to try to win a book, and I am sure we would all love to see a video of her singing Born to Wild. LOL But if you decide to pick someone else, I would love to win because I have been a fan of yours for so long and your Wilde series is one of my all time favorites and is on my keeper shelf.

BTW I loved your movie. Very nice cover to the book and the trailer just made me want to read the book even more.:cheer:

Okay, you all are making it difficult for me to pick just one winner, LOL!

Jodie — Thank you for your story. You gave me a big “awwww” moment! :thankyou: And if your heart is telling you to write, then DO IT. Be determined and persistent and it’ll happen! I truly believe that for everyone who wants to write and get a book published. I’m not saying it’s an easy road to publication, but determination goes a very long way in making it a reality!

Debbie — you crack me up! I can’t believe you went through the whole entire alphabet :happy2:

As for those bribes . . . they are very, very tempting.

BTW, I’ll be posting the winner on Sunday (along with Friday’s contest winner), so you all need to check back on Sunday to see if you won the ARC for Joel’s story!).

Just checking in….Leslie…A WHOLE CASE of canollis? I hope you have written a lot…either that or you have been REALLY BAD!

Janelle: I can only offer you my lone Starbuck’s card and my last two Nordstrom Habits. I do have some other chocolates, but they are not as good as the Habits. The only other reason I should be considered is that I have been such a good Mom and wife this week. I had my seven year old vomiting on me all Sunday night AND TODAY, I have had a vomiting husband (okay, he missed me, but I wasn’t so lucky with my son). I now have a stomach ache and I fear I am getting this (willing myself better). I don’t ask for a lot. I haven’t read many of your books (although, the ones I have read, ROCK!). Whew…love those WILDE boys. My husband laughs at my Wilde books because I don’t usually go for wild boys, I like boring CPA, nerdy types…..::P So, that’s it. I think Jodie has a lock on it…..that Jedi mind trick should work (I should have thought of that as my middle guy LOVES “Star Wars”). Very clever, Karen! I think you and Debbie might have to duke this one out, LOL!

Helen — You tempt me! I’ll take everything but your first born. I’m dealing with teenagers right now and can’t imagine taking on any more kids, LOLOL!

Tina, if you start stripping off your top, I’m going to have to ban you from the competition  though I’m sure Bruce wouldn’t mind at all, LOLOL!

Wow–how exciting! And though I’d love to win an ARC, I confess that I’m way too lazy to be so creative! So pick Debbie! Or Karen! And again, oooh, another yummy story to wait for… :) Yay, Janelle!

Tina, it’s the frozen cannoli that seem to get Ms. Kelly (or at least her heroines) in big, big trouble.

Ok, here’s my story….I’m a stay at home mom of three girls! Yes, that’s right…all girls and your books are the only escape I get! Reading your books actually drowns out the yelling, screaming and hair pulling for a while. And since “Borne To Be Wilde” isn’t due out for 3 more months, I might not be able to make it.

I won’t make this long, since you have many to read, but here’s a little begging…PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE give me an escape!!!

And here’s a little bribe….Starbucks and Chocolates will be delivered promptly if I win!!!!!

    Love you and your books!!!!!!!!!

I would really love to win that ARC! I would really, really need something to take my mind off from renovations that never seem to end! I can’t bribe you with Starbucks, but would Finnish Chocolates sound good to you?

I would like to receive the Borne To Be Wilde book because I am a HUGE fan of Joel.

The first book I read of this series was Mia and from the moment I read the scene wher Cam sees Joel and his co-workers/friends in the Electric Blue and when he sees the waitress and can’t take his eyes off of her I was hooked!

After I finished I read the excerpt many many times… too many to count and went to pre-order the book. The book was initially scheduled to be released July of last year but something happened and now it’s being relased in the next 3 mounths and I have just waited so long for this book and continuously mark off the days on the calendar until I receieve the phonecall from either Barnes & Nobles or Borders telling me that my order has arrived.

Good luck to those who enter

Cool, trailer! I’m going to be a critical bitch here-it needs more manly chest showing -not the girl boobs. I have pms so please forgive me. I’ve read all your work and love the Wilde family. I would love to get the arc of Joel’s story. I don’t have it in me today to be all nice and grovelly, so this is me on a pms day. (I figure I’ll be getting my copy at the bookstore).
