Leslie
Leslie Kelly used to say she wanted to be a doctor when she grew up, but then she discovered Nancy Drew books. Being a flashlight-under-the-covers-nose-in-book reader throughout her childhood, she couldn’t think of anything else she’d rather do as an adult than continue to lose herself in fictional stories. Her real life marriage of 20 years to the man of her dreams is a constant reinforcement that happily-ever-afters really can happen…and that they’re worth writing about. Living in Maryland, Leslie spends her non-writing time laughing a lot with the above-mentioned romance hero and their three daughters. Though an author of more than thirty sexy, contemporary comedies, she has recently branched out to write dark romantic suspense under the pseudonym Leslie Parrish.Email this author | All posts by Leslie

Woohoo, Danette!
This past week I was reminded of the blog you did a while back when your daughter watched “the movie.” Well, my son had his turn this past week. 4 days of sex ed. The problem….he was talking and not paying any attention. Now he has all these questions! “There’s something I don’t get….something the guy does that starts with e….about this period thing….”
Just shoot me!

Robin – I didn’t know if you’d go back to yesterday’s post or not and when I saw these quotes listed on my RWA online chapter board I thought of you. I especially like the second one!
The beautiful part of writing is that you don’t have to get it right the first time, unlike, say, a brain surgeon. – Robert Cormier
Rewriting is like scrubbing the basement floor with a toothbrush. – Pete Murphy
You will have to write and put away or burn a lot of material before you are comfortable in this medium. You might as well start now and get the work done. For I believe that eventually quantity will make for quality. – Ray Bradbury
I didn’t have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead. – Mark Twain
It’s as hard to get from almost finished to finished as to get from beginning to almost done. – Elinor Fuchs
