Okay, since it’s just a month until the release of my next “big” contemporary romance, I figured I’d give away an ARC of the book! (Which has been getting some really great reviews, by the way…:razz:) It’s a pretty crazy story about a bad-boy pilot disguised as the boy-next door, a good-girl heroine disguised as an heiress, two murderous old ladies, a lot of cuckoo clocks and an eccentric old millionaire who’s just bought an insane town by the name of Trouble!

Since the story takes place in Pennsylvania, I thought I’d offer something from that great state and of course the first thing that came to mind was CHOCOLATE! Hey everyone–thanks for the great response! Glad everyone is excited about the prize. Honestly, this is the first time Harlequin has ever given me any kind of advance reader copies–and I only got 4! I couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d rather offer them than here at Plotmonkeys, so I think I’ll draw two prizes–one for the grand prize with the ARC and the chocolate, the second for just the ARC. Okay?
And Christa–the death by viagra…hmm…just seemed appropriate given the character’s slimy personality and sexual predator tendancies. I have a kind of twisted sense of humor and love murder comedies (like the movie Clue! We go around singing, “I, am, your singing telegram” in my house!)
I found it very interesting when doing research that Viagra shouldn’t be taken with grapefruit juice, which is why I had Drake drinking a Vodka & Grapefruit when he O.D.’s.

And Tyne, to answer your question, we did come up with this story–the whole series, really–at a Plotmonkeys retreat! I think it was Julie’s suggestion that this book be about a town “owned” by a certain family. And I know Janelle came up with lots of great “Trouble” titles for me! (The next Trouble book, a Blaze, is called Asking For Trouble. A novella in the Heat Wave anthology next summer is called Getting Into Trouble, and the next HQN single title, also next summer, is called Trouble Or Nothing.
Should be lots of fun…now all I have to do is write the books. 8O
