The winner of our Friday’s Jungle Madness Contest is . . . Tricia (Friday Blog Post #32). Whoo-hoo!
:party::cheer:
Congratulations, Tricia, you are the winner of a GET WILDE summer fun package. This gift package features an autographed hardback copy of both WILDE THING & THE WILDE SIDE, along with a “Take a Walk on the Wilde Side” bookbag, coffee mug, and coaster! If you already have the two books listed, you may choose any two books from my backlist that you would like instead (sorry, Surf’s Up is excluded as a choice).
All you need to do is contact me before this Wednesday, July 5th, at: janelledenison@sbcglobal.net. Congratulations, again!
And now, our Sunday just wouldn’t be complete without some kind of “funny”. Here’s mine for the week! Enjoy
NEVER ARGUE WITH A WOMAN
One morning a husband returns to their cabin after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and settles in to read her book. (Undoubtedly, a ROMANCE, written by one of the Plotmonkeys! :wink:)
A while later, along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, “Good morning, Ma’am. What are you doing?”
“Reading a book,” she replies, (thinking, “isn’t that obvious?”)
“You’re in a restricted Fishing Area,” he informs her.
“I’m sorry, officer, but I’m not fishing. I’m reading.”
“Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I’ll have to take you in and write you up.”
“If you do that, I’ll have to charge you with sexual assault,” the woman says.
“But I haven’t even touched you,” says the Game Warden.
“That’s true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment.”
“Have a nice day, Ma’am,” the officer replies, and he leaves.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Never argue with a woman who reads. It’s likely she can also think! :happy2:
Here’s to all our intelligent Plotmonkey readers out there! Have a great 4th of July weekend!

Janelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 25 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 45 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.
