Welcome to Jungle Madness Friday!
So you wanna be like the Plotmonkeys? Well, first things first…you really need to learn to drink like one!
Every year when we go away from our plotting retreat, we end up trying a new drink recipe, to which we all quickly become addicted. (Julie is usually the one who finds them!) So in honor of two of our favorite cocktails, I’m giving away two of these neat drink rimmer sets, one for Sour Apple Martinis and one for Mojitos.
Note: These don’t contain alcohol–they’re specially flavored sugars into which you dip the rim of your glass, specifically made to complement certain drinks.
One of each will be shipped to the winner (drawn at random from among those who comment here.)

Winner will also receive an autographed copy of each of my two “bartender” books: HER LAST TEMPTATION, 6/05 (an RT Award winner) and WICKED AND WILLING, 2/03 (a Rita nominee!) Both had bartender heroines–and are among two of my favorite personal books.
Thanks for another fun week at Plot Monkeys!
See ya at the bar!

Leslie Kelly used to say she wanted to be a doctor when she grew up, but then she discovered Nancy Drew books. Being a flashlight-under-the-covers-nose-in-book reader throughout her childhood, she couldn’t think of anything else she’d rather do as an adult than continue to lose herself in fictional stories. Her real life marriage of 20 years to the man of her dreams is a constant reinforcement that happily-ever-afters really can happen…and that they’re worth writing about. Living in Maryland, Leslie spends her non-writing time laughing a lot with the above-mentioned romance hero and their three daughters. Though an author of more than thirty sexy, contemporary comedies, she has recently branched out to write dark romantic suspense under the pseudonym Leslie Parrish.

Hey, I wanna win! Uh…my name is not Julie Leto. I’m another Julie. Yeah. Right. :d
Seriously, great prize, Les!
Anyone seen the Bacardi mojito commercial where the bartender is mashing the mint and everyone is dancing to the beat and when he stops, everyone stops? It’s cool.
Katie, I’m sorry you’re having trouble finding the book. Maybe it’s not hitting stores yet…I know it has in some places, but not here either.
I couldn’t even find it at eHarlequin! If you want to order it there, you can put in the title and it will come up. You just can’t go in through the Signature section because it’s been taken down.
Kelly, thanks for posting the buy links yesterday. I appreciate it!

Yummy!!!!! (d) Mojitos are my all-time favorite drink. When me and my hubby started dating, we used to go to this bar that served great mojitos and he started calling me Mojito as a nickname. It’s even on our personalized license plate! (d)

Hey Julie, No problem about posting the links for Katie or anyone else who is having a problem finding it. I also found that you can buy it on Barnes & Noble.com, for some reason Amazon says it’s not released yet. But it is in stock at Walmart.com & Overstock as well.
Now about this prize….I could really use a drink right about now!! Chasing my daughter around and running errands with my nana. (d) Cheers everyone.

Kim had spent way too much time browsing the internet. It was time to shut down and spend time with her husband. “Her Last Temptation” was to stop at Plotmonkeys.com and see what was happening in the jungle. “Wicked and Willing”, yes, she can be wicked at times and very willing I’d say. Especially when she saw what the prize was, She hurried and entered her name, email, a few crazy notes and hit submit. Off she went to discover what was happening in her own little jungle at home.
:)

(d) Mmmm…those look yummy…and the sugars don’t look bad, either

What a great prize! (d) I’ve never had a mojito but have heard there really good. Those drink rimmers are such a good idea, and less messy doing it yourself. :d
Comment
I love Apple Martini’s!!! A restaurant here where I live makes the best Sour Green Apple Martini’s. Forget the good food they serve and bring on the drink! (d)
Don’t enter me in the contest. I have read all of Leslie’s books–and they’re all keepers. Well…except the one Forester Square book.
Good luck to everyone who’s entered. (y)
