And the winner is…
Leslie Icon

Many apologies for the delay in posting the winner of the Friday Jungle Madness contest. I was out of town this weekend visiting my Dad and his internet decided to not work last night! Just got back home and am posting the winner (randomly picked by number by my impartial rugrats) right now.

Kelly! You are the winner. (And not because your name is Kelly…lol)

Write to me directly at lkelly32940@cfl.rr.com to give me your snail mail addy, okay? Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you like the books (and the pie!)

And just for fun, here’s a little marital bedroom humor…

Leslie

LeslieLeslie Kelly used to say she wanted to be a doctor when she grew up, but then she discovered Nancy Drew books. Being a flashlight-under-the-covers-nose-in-book reader throughout her childhood, she couldn’t think of anything else she’d rather do as an adult than continue to lose herself in fictional stories. Her real life marriage of 20 years to the man of her dreams is a constant reinforcement that happily-ever-afters really can happen…and that they’re worth writing about. Living in Maryland, Leslie spends her non-writing time laughing a lot with the above-mentioned romance hero and their three daughters. Though an author of more than thirty sexy, contemporary comedies, she has recently branched out to write dark romantic suspense under the pseudonym Leslie Parrish.

    Leslie, cute cartoon!!
    Have a great Sunday everyone.

Plot Monkeys, I hope you don’t mind—-I’d like to remind everyone to go to the Breast Cancer website & click as each click is counted as 2 for the month of May. If you are not familiar with this it funds mammograms for women that would not otherwise have that benefit & all you have to do is go there & click with your mouse,www.thebreastcancersite.com. Thanks.
    Donna M :)

    Congratulations, Kelly!

Loved the cartoon, Leslie! Fortunately, my husband and I made it a pact early in our marriage that we never go to bed angry with the other person. With us, issues need to be hashed out before sleep so they don’t fester and become bigger problems!

Donna — I’m a huge supporter of any Breast Cancer promotion. I’ll be sure to visit the website so my clicks count!!! (*)

Leslie, sorry I was bugging you to post. I just wanted to make sure you remembered. I HATE when the internet isn’t working.
Thanks also to everyone who’s given recommendations on reading from yesterday’s post! I’m taking notes!

REMINDER and I hope the plotmonkeys dont mind! http://www.brendanovak.com for an auction to benefit juvenile diabetes with GREAT prizes for readers (from authors!); for authors (from everyone!) and for everyone from everyone, LOL. Worth a visit and a great cause. (I’ve got a huge basket of books and Carly things up there too so type Carly Philips into the search!)

    Congratulations Kelly!
Leslie what a funny cartoon. It a little life to the afternoon.

Like some of y’all I’ve been suffering from computer problems. I think it is my dial up service. I’m thinking seriously about DSL. We live in the country and cable is not an option. Our phone service doesn’t even offer internet options. grrrrrrr.

Thanks for the reminder I’ll be sure to click! And no worries, Carly, if I had forgotten I would definitely have appreciated the reminder. ;)

And yeah, re the Brenda Novak auction, check out the “for romance readers” section. If any of you are interested, I have donated an entire library of my books. EVERY single one through my July Blaze, BOYS OF SUMMER (with Julie!) in one prize pack. That’s 21 autographed books for a great cause.

    Hope someone might be interested!

    Leslie

Melissa, I am so glad to “know” someone that has actually been helped with the “clicks”. I personally know 2 people that have survived breast cancer & another that was recently diagnosed and is now going through chemo. I go to the site everyday to click. I am so glad to hear you are a survivor.
    :) (l) Take care,
    Donna M
